The purpose of the Digital Signage Association(DSA) is to accelerate the growth and advance the excellence of digital signage deployments worldwide. Simply put, we want to help those deploying digital signage solutions be as successful as possible. The Association is built on three pillars: advocacy, education and networking.
DSA welcomes users of digital signage in all vertical markets – retail, financial services, hospitality and travel, entertainment, human resources, health care, government and others. We also welcome manufacturers, resellers and distributors of digital signage hardware and software as well as network operators, integrators, advertising agencies, consultants, analysts, publishers, tradeshow organizers and service companies.
When digital signage refers to ad-based networks, most agencies think of it as digital out-of-home. More of the industry itself is referring to in-store placements and internal communications as digital signage.
The recent National Campus Safety and Security Project survey finds that in the event of an emergency, electronic communications are now an important way to disseminate safety information to staff and students campus-wide.
As part of the 2009 Fourth of July celebration, the National Park Service made the decision to reopen the crown on the Statue of Liberty. However, with only days to go before the holiday, a digital signage solution was needed. The National Park Service turned to Samsung, who provided an all-in-one product that offered digital signage throughout the area.
The Digital Signage Association has released a report entitled "Digital Signage Software Comparison Guide." This 46-page publication and interactive software toolwill help businesses select the right software for their digital signage solutions.
